WINSFORD Flash Sailing Club is inviting everyone in the area to head down to Bottom Flash on May 14 for a gala open day.
The club, which was formed in the 1930s, is based on the 90 acre flash and is accessed via Ways Green and Stocks Hill.
Free taster sessions will be available on the day and anyone wanting to take part just needs to wear appropriate clothing and be able to swim an mimimum of 25 metres.
A spokesman for the club said: "You do not need to have your own boat or any previous boating experience when you join Winsford Flash Sailing Club.
"Members have the opportunity to try different classes - or can start by crewing for another club member.
"We have several training boats and members and their families can use the club boats at any time.
"All we ask is that the same care is taken of the club boats as you would with your own."
For more information check the club website at www.winsfordflash.co.uk or ring 01606 592726 on Sundays between 11am and 7pm.
