STAFF and students at Warrington Collegiate may look a little blue but they have been celebrating friendship by trying out a new hairstyle.
The college has just held a friendship week with the aim of trying to raise awareness about its anti bullying campaign. Events included live music from student and staff bands, parties, quizzes and a pool tournament.
But the culmination of the event was the Big Blue Hair Day on Friday where students jazzed up their tresses with wacky blue hairstyles, created
by the hairdressing students.
Friendship bracelets made by beauty therapy students, books and poems were also on sale throughout the week with profits going towards Childline.
Organiser Jenni Wood, learning coach co-ordinator at the Collegiate said: "The College has a zero tolerance approach to bullying and anti-social behaviour.
The Friendship Week will mark the launch of our own Stamp Out Bullying campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the issue and promote discussion."
