PUPPET masters the Treasure Trove Puppet Company brought a stunning performance to Latchford Primary on Friday morning.
Performing The Golden Crown, a classic tale from the Indian collection of stories Panchtantra, the company treated the whole school to a bright and colourful dramatisation.
The children were fascinated by the wood, glove and marionette puppets and the adventure of Somu, the hero of the story, who goes to a city to find work and on his way through a jungle happens across a well from which he rescues a tiger, a monkey, a snake and a very ungrateful man.
Disaster strikes and Somu finds himself imprisoned in the damp, dark dungeons of a palace, yet help is on the way, bringing the adventure to an exciting end.
