KNUTSFORD FC ended their Mid Cheshire League campaign at London Road on Saturday with a predictable draw.
With several players unavailable it was a satisfactory result that leaves the Reds on 11 wins, 11 losses and eight draws.
Victories
Knutsford will finish mid-table which, after a difficult opening half to the season, is about right given their present development.
They have become much more resolute since Christmas, new signings Aidan Brodigan and Maciek Starczewski proving influential. Whilst Knutsford still seem to find goal scoring a problem they have tightened up in other areas and by definition have become difficult to score against themselves.
Victories however will be what Knutsford need to achieve next.
On Saturday, with both sides comfortable in mid-table, there was a distinct lack of chances.
Goalmouth action was nonexistent with Knutsford's Daine Johnson and Poynton's Kieran Vernon spectators for the most part.
Rix had an opportunity for Knutsford from Wilkinson's excellent forward pass but got nothing on his final shot.
Critchlow had the home side's best chance when he fired recklessly wide of an open goal and, apart from that, there was little to talk about.
