THE Oaks Community Centre in Penketh has had a colourful makeover after a number of its rooms were damaged by a leak thanks to a generous donation of paint from the Dulux Decorator Centre.
A team of seven volunteers spent two weeks decorating the craft area and meeting rooms as part of the Hoyle Street company’s ‘Colouring the Community’ scheme.
Linda Keir, centre manager at the Oaks Centre, said: “The volunteers have done a great job of brightening up the centre.
“It was in need of a fresh splash of paint after a recent leak and we are very pleased with the new look. We would like to say a huge thank you to Dulux Decorator Centres for donating the paint to allow us to carry out this redecoration.”
