POLICE are warning Great Sankey residents to be on their guard against thieves who were spotted checking cars and gates in the Park Road area.
The two men were seen trying the handles of cars and gates at around 10.30pm at the top end of Park Road and Wroxham Road before getting on a motorbike that had been parked outside the One Stop shop.
One was around 5ft 10in with short dark hair and wearing a red padded jacket while the other was wearing a black and grey camoflague jacket.
PC Richard Hill said: “We put patrols in the area after we were informed of two men behaving suspiciously.
“We would advise residents to be vigilant and ensure their vehicles and homes are secure.”
