COUNCILLOR Colin Oliver will remain as chairman of Poulton-with-Fearnhead Parish Council for another year.
“I think it is an honour, I really do and I’m proud to be the chairman,” he said at last week’s meeting of the parish council.
Parish Clr Michael Howard (LD – Brook Acre) was re-elected as the deputy chairman and all other posts remained the same.
The parish council agreed last year to create sub-committees dealing with finance, resources and personnel and planning and communications.
Councillors Scott and Sharon Wilson (LD – Poulton North) were reappointed to the Cinnamon Brow Community Association while councillors Douglas Ashbrook (LD – Brook Acre) and Ian Johnson (LAB – Bruche) were reappointed to the Fearnhead Cross Centre management committee.
“It’s a new year, let’s make it a bumper year for the parish council,” said Clr Oliver.
“Let’s go all the way.”
