THE Pyramid hosted the first Warrington Rhythm and Blues Festival on the weekend of May 23.
The event, which saw 254 music enthusiasts flock to the venue, was seen as a massive success according to Paul Melville, of the north west headliners The Stumble.
Cadillac Kings’ lead singer Mike Thomas expressed his wishes that ‘we hope to be here when we do this all again next year’, and the crowd certainly agreed.
Blues and R&B lovers of all ages attended the event with acts ranging from 12-year-old Alex McKown to sensation Peter Pryce taking to the stage.
McKown demonstrated exceptional talent for such a young age, with all acts delivering an excpetional peformance.
After the success of the event, sponsored by Dawson’s Music Stores and Farida Guitars, the Pyramid and Parr Hall website is already advertising ‘even bigger and more open’ event for 2010 and invites fans to ‘watch this space’.
