POLICE say they have made an arrest in connection with an international manhunt to find former Winwick man Ian Griffin.

Cheshire Police say they arrested a 39-year-old in woodland in Chelford near Macclesfield at 3pm today.

A spokesman said: "At this stage it would appear the man has been living rough."

The arrest follows an international search for Ian Griffin. His parents live in Winwick and the millionaire businessman is now living in Knutsford.

He disappeared following the death of Kinga Legg, a businesswoman found battered to death in Paris.

Police say they are now liasing with French authorities.
