AN office manager at the Warrington Wolves Foundation has been recognised for her contribution to the community.

Debbie Blackburn was named exceptional learner for 2009 during Adults Learner’s Week.

And she was presented with her award by some of the players on the pitch at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Natalie Hargreaves, from the foundation, said:”The team at the Wolves foundation believed that Debbie deserves her award because of the constant hard work she puts into her role as office manager and as a mum of four plus dog.

“She is often the first in the building and the last one out and is always willing to help out, take on new tasks and to learn new things.

“The players are role models in our community and Debbie is the one who organises all their appearances.

“As well as being a charity itself the foundation are constantly requested for help to fundraise and donate items, Debbie controls this with more than 30,000 organisations attended to since she has been with us.”
