THE Warrington Disability Partnership’s Centre for Independent Living is moving to Orford this weekend – but chairman Dave Thompson says it will be strictly ‘business as usual’.
The WDP centre on Beaufort Street in Sankey Bridges is undergoing a million-pound make over after the charity won a £922,055 from the Big Lottery Community Assets Fund.
And while the 100-year-old former primary school is transformed the WDP will be operating from Orford Day Centre on Festival Lane, thanks to the help of Warrington Borough Council.
Mr Thompson said: “We are moving our whole service across, from the showrooms to our IT suite and all our teams – everything is moving.
“Our services won’t be affected at all, it will be business as usual.”
