A GROUP of children from Great Sankey Primary School have been presented with awards after winning a gymnastics competition.
A group of youngsters aged six and seven from the after school gymnastics club, run by Donna Maclean from Warrington Gymnastics, were chosen to represent the school in vault and floor events at William Beamont High School.
Competing against Old Hall, St Andrew’s, Penketh South and St Peter’s primary schools, the pupils won the overall competition for both events.
Polly Thompson, Eron Wooltorton and Olivia Horne were awarded a distinction in floor and vault.
