SARAH Edgar, inspector of Warrington South NPU, has been appointed to a new role at Cheshire Police’s headquarters in Winsford.
Inspector Edgar took on the role last January and helped police Creamfields’ first two-day festival at Daresbury in August 2008.
She said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working with the communities within Warrington south and would like to thank you for your support over the past 18 months.
“I am delighted to have worked with a team of very committed individuals here at Stockton Heath police station and it is to their credit and the way in which you and residents work with us, that we have achieved a nine per cent reduction in crime over the past 12 months and achieved the crime detection target.”
Insp Gary McIntrye took over from Insp Edgar on Tuesday.
