THE owners of Pewterspear Green land which was mysteriously ploughed earlier this year have confirmed that the horses grazing on one of the fields are the tenant’s responsibility.
A spokesperman for the Homes and Communities Agency said: “Under our agreement it is the tenant’s responsibility to ensure that the animals are cared for and this obviously includes the supply of water and ensuring that the existing barbed wire fencing does not cause a problem for the horses.
“There is a significant gap between the boundary fence of the field and St Matthew’s Primary School, which provides an adequate buffer area between the field and school children.”
