THE first joint surgery between a councillor and the police in Poplars and Hulme will take place on Saturday.
Clr Brian Maher (LAB – Poplars and Hulme) will join with CSOs Hayley Moss and Paul Birch at the surgery this weekend.
The three will be at the Capesthorne Road Youth Centre from 11am to noon.
Clr Maher, who is also a member of Cheshire police authority, said: “It is important that people have someone to turn to help to solve their local problems.
“As a councillor and police authority member, I know that the issues that people raise are sometimes solved by the council, police or both agencies working together so CSOs will be available at my surgeries to listen and help people.”
All residents are welcome to attend to discuss any issues in the area.
There are more joint surgeries scheduled on June 13 and July 4.
