MOTORISTS in Lymm will have to wait a little longer for a new pay and display scheme to operate in the village.
The pilot scheme, set for the Pepper Street car park in the centre of the village, was set to be introduced from May 1.
But this month’s meeting of Lymm Parish Council was told that there was a delay in ordering the two machines.
They should come in the next four to six weeks.
Parking will be free for two hours then charges will be added.
Parish councillors hope that the move will stop people parking their all day, thereby freeing more spaces for shoppers.
