WHITECROSS SICK of never being able to find what clothes you want in the shops?
Well now you can try your hand at making your own outfits from scratch with a dressmaking course at Whitecross Community Centre.
Dawn Potts, a dressmaker and seamstress with more than 18 years of experience, leads the five-week sessions which help you to recapture the idea of make do and mend that was popular during the 1940s and making a comeback during the current economic climate.
Future courses in corsetry and millinery are also planned for those interested in expanding their skills.
The sessions run from 6pm until 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays and to find out more about the course call 07779 603171.
