TWO students who love to live life on the edge will embrace their lifelong ambition this summer.
Priestley students James Imrie and Richard Millar have been invited to join a gliding scholarship with the Royal Navy.
The pair will travel to Cornwall and Yeovil to complete a one week residential programme.
Both of the 16-year-olds hope the experience will help them to achieve their ambitions of becoming fighter pilots.
James, of Ludlow Close, Padgate, said:“When the letter arrived from the Royal Navy I was really thrilled and have struggled to contain my excitement since then. I’m really focussed on this and can’t wait for the summer.”
Richard, of Norton, Runcorn, said: “My long term ambition is to pilot the Euro Fighter, so the scholarship is the first step towards that aim. After completing my studies, I plan to apply for the Navy or RAF.”
