A TEENAGER who refused to give up his mobile phone to four men was repeatedly punched and kicked in the head until he lost consciousness.

The 17-year-old victim awoke to find his wallet missing, but his mobile phone still on him following the attack on Mallard Lane in Birchwood on Wednesday afternoon.

He had been asked for his phone by four men, and when he refused was punched in the face.

They then pulled his jacket over his face so he couldn't see and punched and kicked him in the face and body until he passed out.

The boy, from Orford, was treated at hospital for concussion and minor injuries.

Police are searching for the four men and want people to come forward if they saw them.

The first man was white, around 20 years old, with short or shaved brown hair.

He was between 5ft 11in and 6ft tall, toned, and wore a white Lacoste shirt and black tracksuit bottoms. He spoke with a Warrington accent.

The second man was mixed race, aged 19 to 20, around 6ft tall and of proportionate build.

He wore a black t-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms, and had short dark hair.

The third man was black, 6ft tall, broad shouldered with short black hair.

He wore black tracksuit bottoms and a black hoodie with the hood pulled up.

The fourth man was white, 6ft 2in or 6ft 3in tall, of slim build with short black hair.

He was around 21 years old and wore a dark tracksuit.
