A CORONER has ruled that baby Grace Jones, who was found dead in her home on Statham Avenue in November, had been stillborn.

Grace had never taken a breath, medical evidence showed.

Deputy coroner for Cheshire Janet Napier recorded a verdict of stillbirth caused by abruption of the placenta at a hearing on Wednesday afternoon.

Grace was born and died on November 18, at around six months gestation.

Her body was discovered by police after her mother Vivien Jones, who had not known she was pregnant, went to Warrington Hospital.
