GREAT Sankey councillors have joined police on patrols around Thornton Road to speak to the youths congregating in the area.
Councillors Jim Regan and Alan Litton spent an hour talking to youngsters one Friday night to see why they are drinking and what activities they would like to do.
The youngsters said they drank because they were bored and would be interested in a youth club.
Clr Regan said: “We also spoke to two Warrington Borough Council youth workers who have promised to look into staffing Hood Lane if we can get approval to hold a youth club there on a Friday.”
