A STREET deemed to be too dangerous by Royal Mail has still not been adopted by Warrington Borough Council.
Postal workers were not allowed to deliver post to Pewterspear Green Road earlier this year due to the dangerous conditions of the unadopted road during wet weather.
Residents learned the road was not adopted when the Taylor Wimpey development was finished more than six years ago.
In March Sharon Walls, highways assets manager, said slippery materials had been used for the footpaths and they did not meet the necessary safety requirements.
She has confirmed that The Homes and Communities Agency has now commissioned a specialist company to inspect the pavement and recommend a permanent solution to the slippery surface problem.
“This has now been done and as soon as the report is finalised a copy will be made available to both the council and the developer Taylor Wimpey,” she said.
