WARRINGTON Rugby Union’s under 13s squad have made history by winning the Lancashire Cup for the first time in 90 years.
More than half of the 24 strong squad live in either Stockton Heath, Appleton, Appleton Thorn, Walton or Daresbury.
The team triumphed by beating Manchester Rugby Union 39-0.
The game was echoed by sadness as long-serving centre, Sam Roberts, of Stockton Heath, played his last game for the squad before emigrating to Australia with his family later this year.
