A LEGAL agreement for a new cycle rack in Lymm was set to cost the parish council around £1,000.
Parish councillors in the village were looking to introduce one outside the Spar shop in the village but were quoted that fee by Warrington Borough Council.
They will now look for a location on council-owned land which would not cost any money.
