THE new Tesco Express store in Grappenhall opened yesterday, Wednesday, with a donation to Grappenhall Hall School.
As part of the opening of the Knutsford Road store, the school was presented with £500.
Head teacher Mike Frost said: “We are delighted that Grappenhall School will benefit from the opening of the new store and we would like to thank Tesco for their support.
“The money will be used in a number of ways. It is likely to subsidise a pupil trip, and be used to fund projects the pupils are working on like our ‘Nature’s Way’ programme.”
