Scene of the crash on Winwick Road taken by reader Wyn Jones
THIS is the scene captured by a Warrington Guardian reader earlier this morning when a motorbike and car were in collision on Winwick Road.
Wyn Jones took the photo shortly after the accident involving a green Suzuki motorbike and a silver Peugeot at 9.20am at the crossroads with Longford Street.
A police spokesman said the collision happened when the rider of the Suzuki slowed down to let an ambulance past.
The rider, thought to be a Wigan man, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Warrington Hospital as a precaution.
The driver of the Peugeot, thought to be a woman from Leigh, was uninjured.
