COUNCIL bosses are considering pulling the new tourist information centre out of the bus station.
The centre has been operating at the Winwick Street bus station since it opened two years ago.
But the Warrington Guardian understands it could soon be closed.
One user said: “They provide such a valuable service it needs to be there.
“What sort of town has a bus station without any sort of tourist information?
“The women who work there are a credit to the town.”
Peter Taylor, Head of regeneration and development at Warrington Borough Council, said: “With regards to the potential closure of the tourist information centre in the bus station no decision would ever be made without consulting staff and considering alternative ways of providing an information service."
