PROACTIVE youngsters at Longbarn Community Primary School have taken an extra stride to further their learning.
Each week year two pupils take advantage of a film club, which takes place after school.
Infants enjoy a variety of film genres and discuss the content before and after watching a film.
All the children involved are members of a national film club and can review the showings online.
Creepy crawlies were also introduced to the infants, when Zoolab paid a visit to the Fallowfield Grove school. Staff from the wriggly animals business gave a series of hands-on workshops with the exotic pets, which included snakes, snails, frogs, gerbils and a tarantula.
Experts from Teachers from Industry brought science to life for year three and four students with a workshop about forces and motion as part of science week.
