PUPILS at William Beamont High School have been using their people power to keep the pressure on Prime Minister Gordon Brown to ensure all children get a proper education.
The year eight pupils took part in The Big Read, a project that studies the implications of being illiterate and uses literacy skills to persuade the Government to stick to its promise that every child in the world would have a quality education by 2015.
The pupils delivered a presentation to Helen Jones MP and will be sending all the work they have done to Downing Street. The work is part of a campaign called Send My Friend to School, stressing the importance of quality schooling.
