A HEALTH walk will be held at Sankey Valley Park on Thursday, May 21, as part of Walk in the Woods month.
The short route is aimed to provide an introduction to walking and is ideal if you haven't been out and about for a while.
The walk is part of the Tree Council’s national Walk in the Woods month, with thousands of people due to take part in more than a hundred free guided walks across the country.
The programme has been co-ordinated by The Mersey Forest, the growing network of woodlands and green spaces across Merseyside and north Cheshire.
Paul Nolan, The Mersey Forest director, said: “Walk in the Woods month is a great chance for people to get some fresh air and enjoy nature at one of the most beautiful times of the year.”
Ramblers should meet outside the Maltings Pub on Old Hall Road at 11am. Sturdy footwear and waterproof clothing are essential.
Call Matt, Paul or Neil at Warrington NHS on 843714 for more details.
The full programme of walks across the town is available by calling 816217.
