MORE tea Mayor?
That was the question on fundraiser’s lips last week as Mayor of Warrington Clr Graham Welborn helped to launch Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Blooming Great Tea Party.
Fundraisers and volunteers from the charity turned up at the town hall for the launch of the event and raised their tea cups to raising money for the charity and to get people involved in holding their own parties during the summer.
Holly Smith, community fundraiser for Marie Curie Cancer Care said: “For Marie Curie Nurses, taking time to listen and talk to patients is an important part of the job. As soon as they arrive, the kettle goes on and we spend time getting to know our patients and their carers over a cup of tea.”
