A 44-YEAR-OLD has been cautioned and released by police following a raid on a suspected brothel.
Officers say the man was given a caution for the charge of control of prostitution for gain.
Three woman, two aged 44 and one aged 26, also arrested during a raid on the property on Wednesday night have now been handed on to the immigration service and will not face charges.
Police raided the address at around 7pm on Kingsway South.
Sgt Graham Robinson, of Warrington South Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said: “We carried out a raid on a property in Kingsway South, Warrington, on the evening of April 29th, which came about due to intelligence passed onto us and as a result of concerns raised by the community.
“We hope that this reinforces the message that we take information from the public extremely seriously and will seek to act on that information where possible.”
