A TOWN centre takeaway has been fined £1,400 for trading beyond its licensed hours.

China China, prosecuted under the name A K Oriental, was fined and ordered to pay £400 costs last Wednesday at Warrington Magistrates Court.

The company entered a plea of guilty in absence.

Val Atherton, licensing officer said: “Ensuring licensed premises in Warrington comply with the conditions of their license is a top priority for us.

“We work closely with licensees to make sure they are aware of their responsibilities and offer advice and support about a wide range of legislation.

“The majority of licensees in Warrington do take this responsibility seriously, however, we will not hesitate to take any action necessary where this is not the case.”
