FOUR men have been arrested in connection with a failed ram raid at the Spar on Poplars Avenue, Orford in the early hours of this morning.
Police were called to the shop at just before 3am following reports of an attempted burglary.
Officers discovered a red Ford Escort car, which had been recently stolen in Warrington, had rammed the shutters of the shop but had not been able to get through.
A police spokesman said: “As a result of enquiries made near to the scene four men aged 24, 23, 21 and 18 were arrested for attempted burglary and are currently being interviewed by police.”
