THE search is on for a tug o’ war rope to settle which pub in Glazebury or Culcheth has the best pullers.
A tug o’ war competition is planned for Culcheth Community Day, but organisers don’t know where the rope went, after it was used last September at an event in Croft.
If readers can solve the mystery, or anyone could loan an official tug of war rope, ideally made of jute or sisal, over 30mm in diameter and 20 metres in length, they should contact parish councillor, Peter Caswell, on 01942 671938.
Community Day runs from noon until 4.30pm on Monday, May 4, on Culcheth village green.
