GREEN campaigners at Birchwood Park have been boosted by a £15,000 plus cash injection from a new source.
The Foundation, a climate fund for the north west launched this week, has been sending cash to dozens of projects across the region.
And with £15,450 the park will be encouraging 60 of them to swap four tyres for two as part of the Cycling Suits project.
A survey found that 40 per cent of the park’s employees lived within a three-mile radius but commuted in individual cars to work.
The fund is being established to give individuals and businesses the chance to donate to community projects across the region that are helping to combat climate change, while advancing social justice and tackling problems such as fuel poverty.
