MORE parish councils should offer financial support to help the Citizen’s Advice Bureau according to the chairman of Lymm Parish Council.
Clr Sheila Woodyatt said the CAB provides a vital service in the area and needs to be supported.
Lymm Parish Council spent £8,600 out of this year’s budget to help the Davies Way base in Lymm.
And Clr Woodyatt said more parish councils, many of whom contribute nothing, should give to the cause.
She added: “We put in thousands but it is worth it.
“We are talking about people who need debt advice and mortgage advice. I do not understand why people wont help.”
Clr Neville Woodyatt added: “At the present situation there is an overloading of need because so many people out there want our help.”
