OUGHTRINGTON Community Association has benefitted from a grant of £4,700 from the new neighbourhood forum.
The forum, set up to represent police, and other groups such as the council, held its first meeting last month.
And of the £20,000 available, the association got the cash.
Clr Bob Barr said the money would help pay for a repairs to the main hall.
The annual general meeting of the association takes place on April 29.
