IT may not be panto season but a new musical comedy will feature some familiar pantomime peformers in Lymm.

Simon Plumb, writer and director of the famous Lymm Rugby panto, is producing the comedy Mam I’m ‘Ere, a spoof tribute to Abba’s blockbusting film.

It will take place at Lymm High School Theatre on June 12 and 13.

Simon said: “The Lymm Panto is such a huge success we decided to create a summer show for all our fans. We have chosen Lymm High School’s theatre because it is a comfortable 300-seater.

“The story is based on a young girl in Liverpool who falls in love with a local rugby player. Her father runs a local drag queen club and disapproves of the relationship. I would call it a hilarious, 70s-based musical comedy underpinned by some brilliant ABBA songs.

“If you enjoy the Lymm Panto you’ll love this!”

A donation from ticket sales will go to Lymm Rugby Club’s Grass Roots Sports Appeal.

Tickets are £15, cheques payable to Communicado, and will be on sale over the bar at Lymm Rugby Club or you can order tickets by calling Seb Chadwick on 755590, e-mailing seb@communicadocreative.com, or at Rush Green Service Station.
