WESTY RESIDENTS living in the Westy area are urged to be vigilant after a number of lead thefts.
Clr Steve Wright (LAB – Latchford East), pictured, is passing on the warning to homeowners after several properties, including St Margaret’s Community Centre, were targeted by thieves.
He said: “We had some lead taken from the roof of St Margaret’s Community Centre but we do not know the extent of the damage. I know a lot of people have suffered from this too.”
Anyone who may have witnessed any thefts can contact the police on 0845 458 0000 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
