EXILE Parade will play Parr Hall this month before the release of their debut single.

The band will play the hometown show on Friday, April 24, to support the release of Heart Into Suicide before setting off on a UK tour.

Inspiral Carpets legend and radio guru Clint Boon will DJ at the show and told the Guardian how excited he is to be on the bill.

He said: “I’ve not seen them live yet but I’ve heard really good things about them.

“I keep hearing their single though and I think it’s brilliant – they’ve got this really dark, edgy, gritty thing going which is brilliant.”

With Heart Into Suicide already receiving airplay on XFM and Radio One the band are becoming one of the hottest tickets around.

Clint believes their songs, recorded with producer Owen Morris (Oasis, The Verve, The View), could make 2009 a huge year for Exile Parade.

"This single could really make big things happen for them. – the fact that they’ve got Owen Morris behind them says it all really – anything he gets involved in just gets 10 times bigger than it already is.

“He can pick and choose who he wants to work with so he’s not going to give his time to just anyone unless he really believes in them.

“They're doing all the right things and they seem to be in it for all the right reasons – the music is the most important thing and that”s how it's got to be.

“Some bands change their style to fit in with a scene which just doesn’t work.”

Tickets for the Parr Hall show cost £7adv/£10 and are available by calling the box office on 01925 442345 or pyramidparrhall.co.uk

Support comes from The 66, The Stocks and Bony Ghosts and Same Teens DJs.
