A GOOD Samaritan was rewarded when he handed in £200 cash he found on a shop floor.
Seven-year-old Finn Aldous found the money in the Shoe Craft shop on Buttermarket Street on Monday.
He insisted it be handed in so it could be returned to its rightful owner, telling his dad: “We’ve got to be honest, we need to hand this in.”
The family informed Golden Square shopping centre’s management in case anyone came looking for the four £50 notes, and later shopper Mr Pendlebury arrived looking for them.
On Wednesday evening he visited the Aldous’ home in Helmsley Close, Bewsey, to give Finn £25 as a thank you for returning the money.
Finn, an Old Hall Primary School pupil, will spend the money on a new football shirt during a family trip to Barcelona in five weeks time .
