A FIRE on a lorry on the M6 caused tailbacks on Thursday lunchtime.
Police closed two lanes of the motorway near the Poplar services in Lymm as the blazing lorry was attended by two fire crews.
Plumes of black smoke were seen for miles around and passing motorists witnessed flames shooting a couple of feet into the air from behind the cab.
