A TEAM of cheerleaders have taken home top honours from the UK national championships.
The Galaxy Flyers, based at Warrington Gymnastics Club, are celebrating after scooping top places in a host of categories at the Manchester Velodrome event.
The junior B team came third in the cheerleading competition while they were also third in the stunt group contest.
And the over 30s team came fifth in their category ion their first year of competiting.
There was also individual success for youngsters Louise Parry who was fourth and Megan Johnson and Samantha Simpson who finished fifith.
Becky Chadburn, coach to the team, said: “I am really happy with all of the performances and hopefully they will perform well in the future cheerleading championsips.”
