A TEENAGE driver has been killed after his car overturned in Burtonwood on Wednesday.
Jamie Livsey, aged 19, from Newton-le-Willows was travelling along Clay Lane at around 11.30pm when his blue Vauxhall Corsa left the road and overturned in the playing fields.
He died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
Four men from the Newton-le-Willows area have since been arrested in connection with the incident and are assisting police with their enquiries.
A 16-year-old, two 18 year olds and a 19-year-old have been released on police bail.
Detectives are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw either a blue or red Vauxhall Corsa being driven in Burtonwood or surrounding areas before the accident to call police on 0845 4580000 or Crimestoppers,anonymously, on 0800 555111.
