A person has died in a house fire
A PERSON has died in a house fire in Penketh.
Early reports of a fire at Penketh Court sheltered housing say there were two people unaccounted for.
One person was rescued, but it is unclear whether that person survived.
There are currently seven fire engines and multiple police cars at the site and the road is cordoned off.
The rest of the residents from the homes have been evacuated to the nearby St Paul's Church.
