ANOTHER 18-year-old, who wishes to remain anonymous, said she has grown in confidence since getting involved with the Peacock Project’s programme.
She said: “I look at life differently now. I look more positively than before.”
The teenager first went into care when she was a baby but for longer when she was around eight years old.
She said she ran away from her foster families a few times because she occasionally clashed with the carers’ children.
She said: “I used to be scared about talking to different people and keep myself to myself but I’m not as scared now.”
The young woman is hoping to become a cake decorator one day and is considering studying a catering course in September.
