TONIGHT'S Liverpool Reserves game at The Halliwell Jones Stadium has been called off due to a frozen pitch.
An inspection was carried out at 10.30am this morning ahead of the clash with Sunderland when the surface was deemed unplayable.
The Reds' reserves will now have to wait two weeks to play their first Barclays Premier Reserve League North fixture of 2009. They take on Middlesbrough at The Halliwell Jones on Tuesday January 20, kick off 7pm.
All pre-purchased tickets for the postponed Sunderland clash will be valid for the rearranged fixture and an announcement regarding the date of the re-arranged fixture will be made in due course.
