THE former Appleton home of screenwriter Richard Curtis is being sold for £2 million.
The author of Blackadder, The Vicar of Dibley, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill and Love Actually lived at Merricourt, Windmill Lane, in the 1970s.
His father was a top executive with Unilever and Richard's brother, Jamie, went to Bridgewater High School.
Rowan Atkinson was a guest at the house, too, as he was Curtis’s university flat-mate.
The property is being sold by Gascoigne Halman, Stockton Heath, boasting four bedrooms, plus four extra in a separate annexe and wing.
The extensive gardens include a tennis court and a large pond, while there is enough garage space for six cars.
