YOU can now post a heartfelt letter to heaven any day of the year, thanks to a new installation of a community post box in Warrington.
Co-op Funeralcare has erected a silver post box titled ‘letters to heaven’ outside its Stockton Heath branch on London Road.
And the staff are encouraging all Warrington residents to use the post box to send out their own personal letters to the ones they have loved and lost along the way.
Co-op Funeralcare employee at the branch, Kim Dunn, announced the arrival of the post box, saying: “We welcome all families, if they would like to send a letter to someone they have lost, either a Christmas card, birthday card or a letter just because.
“We wanted to get the word out that this isn't just for family’s who have had to use Co-op Funeralcare but for everyone.
“The post box will be in place for the foreseeable future to cover all days of the year.”
As Christmas in particular is a hard time of year for those who have lost their loved ones, the post box will be a welcomed addition to the street.
And Kim confirmed that the letters that are posted will be “dealt with completely confidential” and eventually will be placed the branches ‘garden of remembrance’.
